Jericho canceled by CBS

It seems even as the show has improved substantially at the end of the season, CBS is ending this magnificent drama.

Just as we have grown to love the post apocalyptic USA (Kansas) the network is taking it away from us.  Variety cites "several people familiar with the situation" as saying Jericho has not been picked up for another season. Variety did not mention any reasons for the decision.

How can they do this with such a fantastic cliffhanger at the end of season 1? The war between Newburn and Jericho is at its peak and we might never be able to find out what happens. So sad.

Let us pray it's not true.
