Frank Darabont is back with another Stephen King adaptation. The guy who brought you The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption gives you something new this time.
The Mist is no Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile when it comes to drama, but is still a notable motion pictures. Frank Darabont has made a movie in the spirit of the 1960s monsterflicks. A small town experiences a thick mist in which there are something not human, killing, everything. A group of people are therefore being held up in a local shop. What makes this interesting is the fact that there are also dangers inside the shop, the human themselves are no better than the monsters outside. When a bible lady, excellent performance by Marcia Gay Harden, makes hell there's no safe place left.
